Vision for Education is seeking Performing Arts Specialists to work in secondary schools across Liverpool, Sefton, and Knowsley on a part-time or full-time basis. While experience in delivering drama, music, and dance workshops is preferred, it is not required. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in various secondary schools, gaining insights into the operations of different institutions in their area. Most sites offer on-site parking or are easily accessible by local transport.

About the Role

  • Teaching pre-set Key Stage 3/4 students

  • No planning, marking or assessing

  • Working with children aged from 11 through to 16 years old

  • Managing an average class size in the absence of a teacher

  • Flexible accommodating days

  • Most schools have onsite parking or nearby parking

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Performing Arts Specialist you will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 days experience working in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years

  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a good rapport with students and staff

  • A passion for working with children, in a calm and authoritative manner

  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check that is on the Update Service
