About our school:
It is our pleasure to welcome you to Liverpool Progressive School. The school provides specialist education which supports the educational needs of young people aged 8 - 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs and a range of associated social, emotional, interaction and sensory difficulties.
Overview of the role of Creative Arts Teacher:
- Delivering and planning Creative Arts lessons
- Providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes up to GCSE level
- Helping and supporting individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves
- Prepare teaching materials, instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage
- Passionate champions of students with SEND
- At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment
- This post is open to a specialist in either Creative Arts, Digital Media, or Arts and Music

The school introduces pupils to a wide range of knowledge, skills and experiences; linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technological, physical, human & social aesthetic and creative. With clear, positive expectations for behaviour and well established and successful positive reinforcement strategies that are reviewed the pupils at Liverpool Progressive School have a range of moderate to severe learning difficulties and are mostly below age related expectations.
