£55,000 - £65,000/annum + Package

Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow.

They're seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of their projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
  • Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on all contractual and financial aspects of projects.
  • Ensure that all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Measure and value the work done on site.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Excellent numerical and IT skills, particularly with quantity surveying software.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

In return, our client is offering: £55k - £65k + package
