Our employment team is located in our Sale, Manchester office, specialising in both contentious and non-contentious matters, providing comprehensive representation for employers and employees alike. Head of Employment

Heads of Department are responsible for the achievement of business objectives and as such have the responsibility and accountability for delivering the expected performance and expected behaviours of their team as part of the firm’s business strategy and plans.

To be successful in applying for this role, you must possess excellent client care skills, you need to be technically strong with an eye for detail. You must have the ability to communicate effectively between colleagues and when reporting to the Executive Team. You must also be reliable, organised, able to work in a busy environment, possess excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

As the Employment Partner, leading the department you will handle a range of work and responsibilities including:

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring high standards of client care and service.
  • Represent clients in tribunals, prepare and present cases, and manage all aspects of Employment law proceedings
  • Mentor and supervise the team and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  •  Assist in the growth of the Employment Department through networking, marketing initiatives, and client relationship management.
  • Understand departmental budgets including costs of staffing, Business Development, Marketing and administration.
  • Develop the profile of your team, their skills, abilities and strengths both internally and externally.
  • Stay updated on the latest legal developments in employment law and contribute to the firm's knowledge base.
