The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Head of IT to lead our client’s UK IT department as they deliver a variety of projects and live operational contracts.

You will play a lead role in optimising and managing their Microsoft-based infrastructure environment and applications; whilst maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring contractual commitments are achieved, and owning and reviewing operations and maintenance costs and budgets across multiple projects and contracts.

You will work with a varied team of IT staff, using your strategic and leadership skills to motivate, coordinate and expand the team to ensure seamless delivery of services to end clients.

Skills and Experience:

• A proven background of team management (20+ FTE), 3rd party supplier management and P&L management.
• Proven track record of delivering projects in and the maintenance of Microsoft environments
• A thorough understanding of procedures and methodologies relating to Incident, Problem, Change and Deployment management
• Extensive exposure to a broad range of IT principles and technology (infrastructure, applications, security, networking, etc.)
• Able to manage relationships with senior stakeholders, external clients and the wider IT team
• Beneficial certifications and qualifications include: PRINCE2, APM, MCTS, MCITP, MVP, CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, etc.
