1:1 Math Tutor

Salary: £25- £30 per hour

Contract: Full Time/ Part Time

Are you passionate about science and dedicated to helping students succeed? GSL Education has an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a 1:1 Math Tutor at our school in Barnsley.

Job Summary:

• Evaluate the student's current level of understanding in Math.
• Focus on areas where the student needs the most help.
• Contribute to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized 1:1 math tutoring to students in Year 6 transitioning to Year 7.
• Assist Year 10 and Year 11 students in preparing for their GCSEs.
• Develop tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student learning and progress.
• Create a positive and motivating learning environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent tutoring qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in math, with the ability to teach across different levels.
• Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with secondary school students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed.
