Estimator – Groundworks

Salary – £40,000-£60,0000

Location- Kirkby, North west

My client are one of the leading civil engineering, groundworks and specialist drainage company based in Liverpool and covering the whole North west.

They are a family operated company established in 2012 with large scale projects and have successfully completed numerous construction projects across the region on behalf of both the public and private sector.

About the role

• They are looking for someone with groundworks experience as well as a confident estimator. Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering accurate and reliable cost assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost estimates for a variety of groundworks projects.
• Analyse project plans and specifications to develop accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and ensure timely submissions.
• Monitor and update project budgets, ensuring costs remain within agreed parameters.
• Provide support in negotiations with clients and suppliers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on groundworks.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
• Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
