The below job description will outline this position of: Environmental Engineer

Typically, this person will provide environmental technical support and risk management, including technical advice, support for business initiatives, and management of Environmental Permits.

Duties and responsibilities of the Environmental Engineer:

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits (land, water, waste treatment, hazardous materials).
• Develop and sustain environmental strategies and performance.
• Prepare and manage environmental permits and compliance monitoring.
• Assist with COMAH Safety Reports and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001).
• Support and report on HSSEQ initiatives and targets.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits.
• Provide training and manage corrective actions.

Qualifications and requirement for the Environmental Engineer:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or a related role.

• Driving Licence is required.
• You need to be required to gain security clearance.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with risk management and assessment tools.
• Proficiency in managing Environmental Permits and regulatory documentation.
• Knowledge of COMAH regulations and safety report preparation.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
