We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site-Based Laundry Maintenance Engineer to join our team in St Helens. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our laundry equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all laundry equipment and machinery
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in laundry equipment
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment reliability
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
Coordinate with the operations team to minimize downtime and ensure efficient laundry operations
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:

Electrically and mechanically competent

NEBOSH
Knowledge of Safe Systems of work
Spirax Sarco Steam training
IPAF
Confined Space training
Supervisory Skills
Working at Height training
BOAS certification
Manual Handling training
Fire Safety training
Equality & Diversity training
ACOPS, gas safe certification
Experience:
Essential:

Mechanical background
Working with customers
Knowledge sharing and development
Maintaining a high volume production line to ensure productivity is maximised, ideally in a laundry setting
Working in a high pressure environment
Electrical testing and logical fault finding processes
Minimising breakdown time
Desirable:

Inverter & PLC experience
Laundry equipment experience
Steam plant experience
Compressor plant experience
Knowledge of fluid power systems
Training and development of others including apprentices
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:

Ability to work safely and know when limit of experience and knowledge has been reached
Desirable:

Hydraulics & Pneumatics knowledge
Understanding of wiring diagrams
Gas experience
