Procurement Coordinator
Headcount Solutions is resourcing an experienced Procurement Coordinator for one of our leading multinational clients in west Dublin.
This person will be responsible for continuous improvement of administration practices within our client’s Procurement group.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform commodity and contract management activities including supplier relationship management, contract drafting, performance and risk management in support of the programs.
- Facilitate resolution of supplier escalations and contract disputes.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all project purchase/change orders are placed in a timely manner through the SAP system and this may require placement of PO’s from time to time.
- Set up and modification/amendment of suppliers on internal system.
- Contact suppliers for verification of lead times, availability and shipping requirements for product orders.
- Communicate with supplier to ensure the appropriate delivery method for equipment orders.
- Work with suppliers on to reduce/eliminate payment issues
- Seek resolution of procurement related discrepancies by liaising between procurement and finance an on key issues.
- Administration of the pre/re-qualification of suppliers and updating online database with relevant information.
- Support Facilities/Construction Contract Managers with administration of bids/contract preparation and filing
- Document control: verify all documents required by audit are stored in relevant files and achieve procurement project files as needed
- Support departmental function related initiatives/assignments.
- Additional ad hoc project support as necessary.
Requirements:
- 3rd level qualification in a discipline relevant to the role.
- Good knowledge of MS applications and strong PC skills.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy purchasing office environment. Specific training will be provided as required.
- Expertise in managing complex/sensitive negotiations and conversations with suppliers.
- Possess a high level of organizational skills.
- Detail orientated with problem-solving capability.
