Now Education is a leading educational staffing agency dedicated to supporting schools and colleges with high-quality staff. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated General Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team and work at Wirral Met College. Role Overview:

As a General Learning Support Assistant at Wirral Met College, you will play an essential role in supporting the academic and personal development of students. You will work closely with teachers and other educational staff to ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will work both with students on a 1:1 basis and possibly with a small group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to students across various subjects and levels, helping them understand and complete their coursework.
  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of learning materials and resources.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support.
  • Help monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining student records.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch and recreational periods.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role is useful but not essential.
  • Experience either working or volunteering with children, young people and adults who have a range of SEND.
  • A passion for education and supporting student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A relevant qualification in education or support work is an advantage but not required.
