A behaviour support worker (BSW) works alongside assigned pupils to help them control their challenging behaviours. This is to support them in learning and proactively communicating with others. The pupils may have learning difficulties or mental health conditions which have led to challenging behaviour. Therefore it is important that you are a patient, caring, resilient character.

* Location- Leeds
* Position - Behaviour Support Worker (BSW)
* Contract or position start date - ASAP
* Duration / Likely Duration - Contract
* Contract type - Long-Term
* Full time/part time - Full time
* Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 85 per day
* Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
· Support and scaffold children in the classroom.
· Prepare resources with the teacher.
· Work effectively in Partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
· Able to adapt practice to support the varied needs of children.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* At least Level 2 trained
* GCSE English and Maths grade C
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references
