A PRU / Pupil Referral Unit are desperately seeking a positive, enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker with exceptional behaviour management skills.

The PRU / Pupil Referral Unit is based in Bradford and offers an alternative curriculum to students in Key stage 3-5 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. The students have Special Educational Needs and disabilities that include autism, SEMH Social, emotional and Mental Health issues which can include challenging behaviour. The role will include activates such as greeting the students when they arrive for the day, monitoring behaviour and ensuring students are where they need to be and making good choices.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, it is essential that you have the following:

· A good standard of education and are able to identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis

• Be patient and resilient as it can be challenging at times.

· You need to have the desire to help pupils overcome barriers and achieve the best results

· You will be supporting across a range of vocational courses, such as Construction, Hospitality and Outdoor Education activities

· Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
