I am recruiting an immediate start Finance Officer for a 6 month for a business based in Derby.

Client Details

My client is a not-for-profit organisation based in Derby that has been dedicated to providing relief and development services for over two decades. Employing a workforce of over 500 people, this company specialises in community development, emergency relief, and public health projects.

Description

The Finance Officer's duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Prepare financial reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Aid in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Participate in financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Support the wider team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be studying a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Have experience in finance
  • Have experience in evaluating control designs and operating effectiveness under an internal control framework
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be willing to travel globally

Job Offer

The successful candidate can expect a starting salary up to £23-28,000 + an immediate start + 3 days home working + an opportunity for a permanent role + free parking available + 28 days annual leave
