Job Description

This client account is vitally important, providing Engineering, Cleaning, and Catering services to six sites across the UK. The customer is extremely engaged, positive, proactive, and has strong expectations for service delivery.

The role of Project Manager is key to the ongoing delivery of Capital Projects safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Assisting the Head of Projects in delivering the client's Capital Project plan, this autonomous role requires a strong proactive can-do attitude, high initiative, and excellent communication skills.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the Leonardo Capital Investment Project Pipeline, a wide range of ad-hoc business-driven projects, upgrades and improvement works, and feasibility studies.

Ensuring that all project works are managed effectively in line with ISS procedures, approved codes of practice, and CDM requirements, you will also ensure that all project-related activities are supported by a clear commercial process to deliver projects profitably.

This includes presenting a clear breakdown of costs to the client for approval

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery of the client Investment Project Pipeline, a wide range of ad-hoc business-driven Projects, upgrades and improvement works and feasibility studies
  • Responsible for ensuring all project works undertaken are managed effectively in line with procedures and approved codes of practice and CDM requirements
  • Ensure that all Project related activities are supported by a clear commercial process to ensure all projects are delivered profitably and underpinned by a clear breakdown of costs presented to the client for approval
  • Lead by example, motivate and engage with the key stakeholders and teams across the client account
  • Maintain accurate Project files for each Project held on shared drive, and keep local records of Project status to evidence progress and commercial management
  • Monitor project performance against SLA’s and KPI’s in line with customer expectations and ensure accurate Monthly Reports and updates are collated and delivered to the customer reporting timelines
  • Promote a strong safety culture on all Project activities, with adherence to company processes for risk assessment, training, safe working, accident reporting and investigation (to include root cause analysis)

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma educated in a Business or FM related discipline
  • Preferably IOSH, Nebosh or Rospa qualification
  • Formal Project Management qualification
  • A range of experience across project work including CDM, customer service and financial accountability
  • Experience as a project manager within a facility service environment
  • Must be highly numerate and literate
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into successful operational solutions and drive closure on proposals
  • Experience in FM Project Management– preferably within the Industrial and Manufacturing type environments
  • Awareness of Utilities, Energy Management and Sustainability
