Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cheshire 

Package:  £55,000 - £70,000 + bens

Our client is looking for a SQS to join the Gas transmissions team and supoort existing and upcoming projects.

This will be a pivotal position within the engineering support team, providing support to large scale individual projects or multiple small/medium projects. You will ensure all projects are running in line with budgeted forecast and maximised to increase profit through good commercial acumen and effective contract and supplier management.

Identify future concerns and provide solutions to mitigate risks
Build strong and collaborative relationships with both client and suppliers
Contribute to regular and accurate reporting to the Operations and Project Managers on/for: PPR/CVR/Cash Flow/Weekly Updates etc
Prepare and submit valuations and agreement of final accounts 
Lead the commercial management of multiple sites on time and to budget
Price and submit contract variations and agree final account with client QS
Understand and provide advice and guidance on the terms of the contract and any conditions precedent therein, not least regarding the times for giving notices and making applications 

Minimum HNC/HND/Degree qualification Quantity Surveying
Experience in a similar role within Construction, Design and Management projects

Knowledge of Gas transmissions Projects

Working experience of NEC contracts

Experience of commercially running multiple small projects or one project up to £10 Million


Have knowledge of ISO 9001, Health & Safety at Work
Hold a full UK driving licence
