Job Title: Senior Workshop Engineer

Purpose of Role:

Manage the production process and ensure goods are manufactured and produced in a cost-effective way that meets customers, quality and design specifications and delivered on time according to schedules.

Key responsibilities:

Hands on approach in production on all HPU’s, cylinder and other engineering requirements.

Strip, assess, repair & build hydraulic equipment.

Testing and be able to follow FAT procedures.

Measure & Manufacture Flexible Hoses.

Tube manipulation and pipe fitting.

Solve engineering / hydraulic problems that present themselves through production, liaising with the design team when required.

Ensure all builds / fabrications are produced correctly to drawings.

Ensure quality product leaves the building in line with business & customer expectation.

Ensure job book records / project paperwork for production are completed.

Planning the production workflow from start to finish in parallel to the production schedule.

Ensuring Output and reporting of from production is in line with Business requirement.

To plan and organise resources to meet business requirements.

To create and maintain a safe working practice, including Health & Safety of staff & Machinery in line with company policies.

To monitor performance of personnel & develop through training.

To ensure best practice processes and procedures are always used.

Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/training/groups, to stay current within your role & continuous innovation.

Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.

In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the business as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.

Essential

Hydraulic technical / design & build experience

Experience in both health & safety & quality control

Supervisory experience

Ability to build and maintain core business relationships with key stakeholders

Relevant experience working in a similar Environment

Excellent attention to detail, safety & verbal communication

Excellent organisational skills

Self-reliant and comfortable working to own initiative, multi-tasking & working at a fast pace.

Problem solving skill

Additional Details

Pay: £25k-£35k dependent on experience and qualification

Mon -Thurs 8:00am to 5.00pm, Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm overtime available

25 days Holidays + 8 Bank holidays per year
