Contract Scotland has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced salesperson, with a track record of managing existing key accounts while simultaneously looking for new business development opportunities to grow the business.

You would be joining an established supplier to the Scottish construction industry, with a strong presence in the market. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and company car, as well as the chance to embed yourself within a major supplier to the industry.

The successful candidate will be focused on maintaining and growing current accounts but also looking to target new customers to support the growth of our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate and nurture strong customer relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for accounts
  • Identify opportunities to acquire new business from both prospective and current clients, overseeing the sales process from initial inquiry to order placement
  • Create and deliver price quotes, and address inquiries effectively to secure new business
  • Collaborate with various departments (such as production, technical, and credit control) to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of information included in quotations
  • Handle price negotiations within existing contracts and implement changes to terms and conditions as necessary
  • Provide regular, timely, and precise reports on the progress toward planned objectives for these accounts
  • Proactively monitor market activity and trends, and share insights with the team and relevant departments
  • Address customer complaints, working to resolve them from their root cause to a satisfactory resolution.
