This role is for a Head of Category Management - Purchasing, an integral part of the overall Procurement strategy for a prominent player in their sector. The position is based in the Stoke / Staffordshire region

Description

As the Head of Category Management - Purchasing you will,

  • Lead the development and execution of category management across a complex, global manufacturing operation
  • Hire and manage a diverse team of category managers, building engagement and performance
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and value creation as a direct effect of the strategy
  • Advocate and drive the value of the approach with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, and enable complete visibility of the value created by the function

Profile

A successful Head of Category Management - Purchasing should have:

  • A track record of rolling out Category Management in a complex, multisite operation
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, enabling hire performance
  • Working knowledge of purchasing within a global Manufacturer
  • Energy and resilience with first class communication skills

Job Offer
