We are looking to recruit a number of Learning Support Assistants to work in our client SEND Schools, supporting children with a range of additional needs. You will need to be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and committed to providing them with the best educational support possible. You will be working in close partnership with teachers, therapists and parents.

Responsibilities:

• To assist teaching staff to plan and prepare lessons and resources within the school curriculum.
• To make and prepare resources for teaching and therapy staff.
• To reinforce targets throughout the school day.
• To support students both within the class and during unstructured situations.
• To support the teaching and therapy staff to maintain detailed case notes of all children seen.
• To follow school procedures in reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns.
• To act as a resource and support for other staff members working with the children.

Requirements:

• A Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
• A full educational and employment history.
• Experience working with children with additional needs.
