Job Title: Chemical Process Operator

Location: Warrington

Salary: £38,000 on appointment

Due to a long-term trend of increased orders a large COMAH plant is looking for Process Operators to run and maintain process plant equipment. Ensuring the achievement of safety, environmental, volume, quality, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the efficient operation of intricate processes to meet plant production targets effectively.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance and initial breakdown maintenance to minimize operational interruptions.
  • Uphold a safe operational environment in accordance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Perform in-process analytical duties to uphold product quality standards consistently.
  • Offer expertise in problem-solving to resolve issues and sustain continuous plant operation seamlessly.
  • Maintain accurate records of process information to ensure operational compliance within specified parameters.
  • Coordinate the requisition of process raw materials and maintenance parts to minimize downtime effectively.
  • Provide training to fellow team members in their respective job tasks.
  • Actively participate in improvement initiatives and conduct shift handovers as necessary.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • City & Guilds plant operations part I & II (or equivalent)
  • Process Operations NVQ Level 3 (Ideally)
  • Experience in chemical process plant shift work
  • Proficient in analytical techniques such as particle size analysis, moisture measurement, and colour readings
