Description
Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Oversight of 6 site mangers across the North West and South
- Support the operations and business with commercial development and act as the middle person
- Responsible for people management, including HR escalations, 121s, and succession planning
- Customer engagement, providing quotes, handling claims and acting as the escalation person
- Support the business with the implementation of new project
- Advise and support with the upgrade of a WMS
- Monitor and manage budget and financial performance within the department
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance customer service
- Oversee the continuous improvement of systems and processes within the department
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Ensure a strong focus on safety and risk management within all operations
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences
Profile
A successful Operations Manager should have:
- Experience of managing large operational teams
- 3PL or similar experience is highly beneficial, particularly with customer management
- Support with the implementation or upgrades of a WMS
- Understanding of P&L and budget management
- Based in the North West, such as Warrington, Liverpool, Manchester may be advantageous
- Proven people management experience, including HR escalation, succession planning
- Versatile in the logistics distribution and supply chain sector
- Operational planning and forecasting
- Ambitious and driven person who wishes to progress with the business
Job Offer
The Operations Manager will receive
- Salary between £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
- Pension of 12%
