Senior Support Workers  Required in Handsworth Birmingham B19

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with emotional and behavioral disabilities ? 

We are currently recruiting Senior Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Handsworth our 3 bed Children's Home supports 8-18yrs with BESD ( Ofsted Regulated)

Our home is well led where there will be huge support and you will be encouraged to develop and progress.

As Senior Support Worker you will

  • Provide high-quality care and support to young people with EBD and complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the well-being and development of the residents. 
  • Follow safeguarding procedures
  • Lead and manage the shifts including YPs behaviours and staffing issues
  • Manage the supervision of staff
  • Carry out inductions for newcomers
  • hours 37.5- 40 per week

Senior Support Worker  Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: £12.50-£14 per hour (plus sleep-in payments).
  • £26000-£30000 per annum
  • Sleep-ins paid at £50.

Senior Support Worker  Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with Children or Young People (Minimum of 2 year) 
  • At least 1 year leading and supervising staff
  • NVQ level 3 in children’s and young people's workforce or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS.
