Facility Engineer - Electrical

Expleo are currently looking for an Facilities Engineer (electrical biased) to work on site with a global automotive manufacturer.

Based in the North East (UK), you will be supporting our client's automotive production facility. You will help improve manufacturing efficiencies, which include the upgrade of current machinery and facilities, or the specification, purchase and installation of new equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities include:-

* Involvement in refurbishment/obsolescence activities whilst complying with CE marking, safety regulations, etc.
* Support Production and Maintenance functions to achieve volume delivery.
* Provide technical support to Maintenance function to achieve machine performance and OEE targets.
* Design and implement safety improvements within the Castings department.
* Management and control of contract labour ensuring safety compliance, co-ordination and quality of work.
* Work closely with planning engineering to deliver facility upgrades/modifications.
* Plan, lead and manage improvement activities during non-Production times, including weekends and shutdown periods.
* Management of service contracts, procured services and revenue budget.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

* Qualified to minimum of HNC in electrical discipline.
* Proven experience in facility upgrade and schedule management.
* Management of on-site contractor activities.
* Excellent inter-communication and report writing skills.
* Strong analytical reporting skills.
* Good understanding of legal compliance - LOLER, PUWER, Environmental, etc. (preferable).
* An understanding of PLC's is preferred
