£400 - £450/day

Abatec is seeking a Site Engineer on a freelance contract to join our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, for a major Civil Engineering project in Cornwall.

The successful candidate will have experience in the Civil Engineering industry, capable of self-delivery, setting out, and have prior experience working on highways.

As a Site Engineer you will:

  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in setting out on civil engineering schemes.
  • Check drawings and quantities, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.
  • Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built drawings’
  • Comply with the site-specific health and safety protocols to ensure any health and safety concerns are identified and reported as necessary.

Our client requires a Site Engineer with:

  • Experience with Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical, and digital levels).
  • Valid CSCS
  • A good understating of construction health & safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, and RC works.
  • Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.

Salary/Benefits:

  • £400 - £450 PAYE/umbrella
