About the job

Develop the profitable growth of a Service Centre within a defined geographical area, in accordance with agreed budgets and plans. Recruit, motivate and engage a team of engineers to deliver exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain close contact with business market, liaising with existing customers, promoting and securing new business using all available publicity material/sales engineering resource.
  • Responsible for the cost effective identification and utilisation of human and material resource in order to support current and forecast levels of business.
  • Evaluate individual’s performance and be responsible for identifying necessary training in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure that service centre administration systems operate efficiently in accordance with the Company’s operating procedure and policies.
  • Exercise management control over working capital in respect of debtors and inventory, to maximise turnover with minimum overhead costs.
  • Evaluate service centre performance, to report on this performance monthly and to accurately forecast short term future business.
  • Ensure that all branch employees are aware of Company responsible Company safety policy and that safe working procedures are practised at all times; also responsible for all branch disciplinary matters and accident report procedures.
  • Identify, evaluate and manage potential risks of service centre business.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable people management skills & Strong leadership ability
  • Good customer facing and relationship building skills
  • Previous similar role within the industry
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the refrigeration market
  • Strong organisation and planning skills

Required Experience

  • Qualified to ONC/OND level (Mechanical or Electrical) with appropriate experience in Business administration
  • Minimum of three years’ people Management experience
  • Must have significant experience of refrigeration, air conditioning and process engineering with which the company involves itself
