EMBS Engineering has been exclusively retained to identify a skilled CAD CAM Engineer to join our prestigious client, located in North Nottingham, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

This role would be suitable for individuals currently occupying positions such as CAD CAM Engineer, CAD CAM Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, CNC Programmer, Offline Programmer, or similar.

EMBS Engineering is in an exclusive partnership with a reputable precision engineering company located in Nottinghamshire which is a globally recognised, market-leading precision engineering/manufacturing business that supports world-renowned industry leaders.

Primary focus: To implement and develop programming and methodology strategies using CAD/CAM software in the development and manufacturing of aerospace-related products. Working closely with the Production department in delivering a first-class service to support the demands of the business, this calls for someone experienced who is able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the various processes and techniques in delivering up to date machining concepts.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Engineering new and improved methods
  • Identifying best practices and machine tool type fit for the purpose of the product
  • Implementing and controlling method changes, backing up changes using DNC Software
  • Process implementation, maintenance and improvement ensuring that the engineering data pack is fully aligned
  • Ongoing development of all engineering and manufacturing systems
  • Support plans and Capex for all projects
  • Ensure correct standards are applied before release to production
  • Provide technical support to production


Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong background in offline CNC Programming
  • Ability to program multi-axis Milling & Turning machines using CATIA V5
    • Willing to consider applicants who are CNC Milling biased
  • Ability to prove out programs using Vericut is preferable 
  • Experience producing complex programs for precision, sub-assembly components 
  • Ideally produced programs for high integrity parts that are supplied into industries such as; Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Petrochemical
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Previously worked to tight tolerances
