Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a rapidly growing ICP, who provide end to end solutions across sustainable and renewable infrastructure, focusing on substations, EV, and other renewable assets. Together we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial management of key contracts.

The Quantity Surveyor role comes with a salary up to £55,000 + benefits and hybrid working.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Project Manager you will:

  • Supporting and working closely with the Project Managers daily, ensuring projects meet commercial and financial targets (payment terms, JCT/NEC etc).
  • Participation in weekly updates and contributing accurate and regular updated to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and assess payments for sub-contractor and supplier accounts.
  • Assist with initial, interim and final payment applications.
  • Identity and escalate any agreed cost and consequential GP that may be impacted.
  • Attend monthly project review meetings and CVR meetings along with Project Managers, assisting with handover of projects to Design and Construction teams.



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Experience with NEC & JCT contracts.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical understanding of project delivery and pricing within MV/HV works
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, producing regular commercial forecasting.

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate across multiple teams.
  • Proven track record of efficiently managing contracts and tenders.
