Overview

A global food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a new Engineering Manager (head of department) and are keen to speak with the right people.

As a company that manufacture well-known products, they are committed to sustainability, excellence, and innovation and are looking for a like-minded person to be a part of their team.

The role will involve managing the day to day engineering function on site as well as longer-term strategy and capital project engagement.

This is a great opportunity for someone with proven track record to use their experience and knowledge to drive forward growth and standards.

Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager

  • Overseeing and coordinating day to day operations in the engineering department.
  • Managing engineering projects from inception to delivery covering installations and process changes.
  • Managing the health & safety as well as compliance for the engineering team, site facilities and wider site team.
  • Upskilling and providing guidance to the hands-on engineering team.
  • Senior site management responsibilities and working closely with other departments.
  • Developing the site asset care plan and building a culture of Operational Excellence.

Requirements for the Engineering Manager

  • Experience working in a senior engineering management position where you have been the head of the engineering function.
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience in a senior engineering management position
  • Experience working in the food or FMCG environments and comfortable working to a fast pace.
  • Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
