About Us: We are a dynamic construction company specialising in brickwork sub-contracting. Our focus is on delivering high-quality builds on time and within budget. Our latest project in Nottingham is a state-of-the-art student accommodation, and we are seeking a skilled Site Manager with a background in bricklaying to join our team and cover this project.
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with bricklaying expertise to oversee a 4-month project in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring the project meets quality standards, and is completed on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations and manage on-site workforce of 5 – 6 bricklayers
- Ensure project is completed on time and within budget
- Maintain high standards of health and safety on site
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage and resolve any issues that arise during construction
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Report progress to senior management and stakeholders
About You:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry
- Background in bricklaying is essential
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and best practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Team player with a positive attitude
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or related field
- Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS)
