£38,000 - £45,000/annum + VAN AND FUEL CARD

Contek Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrically Biased Engineer for our client based near Rushden. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting customer sites to carry out breakdown repairs, services, and maintenance. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working on a variety of machines and sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on a wide range of machinery, including presses, compactors, balers, shredders, cut and crease machines, automated feeding systems, and extruders.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings to find effective solutions and ensure minimal downtime for customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor while on-site.
  • Work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Apply knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering to complete tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an industrial background.
  • Ability to diagnose faults using electrical drawings.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering.
  • Trade C & G qualification in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance.
