Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Associate Lecturer in Media at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £25.30 - £39.47 per hour.

The Associate Lecturer in Media role:

We are looking for an experienced Media Production Lecturer to join our team delivering our growing range of media programmes including Level 2 - 6, T Levels and Apprentices.

Key Responsibilities of our Associate Lecturer in Media :

  • Undertaking, teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
  • Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
  • Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy.

Our ideal Associate Lecturer in Media should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Relevant subject experience
  • Experience in Teaching and Assessment of learners
  • Experience in Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Knowledge of FE Teaching and Exam boards
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects (Adobe CC)
  • Working knowledge of cameras
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour
