Job Description:

Your role will be to leverage your extensive expertise to drive the growth and innovation of our complex, precision-engineered ball bearing products. You will lead and support a team, ensuring the highest standards in part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the creation of measurement masters. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in mentoring your team, supporting New Product Development, conducting failure analysis, and performing process audits, all while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting our teams in incoming inspection, the measurement room, and gauge setting, utilizing your hands-on knowledge.
  • Utilize your experience to tackle tasks like part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and creating measurement masters.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and compile dimensional data for FAIR reports.
  • Explore new measurement technologies alongside the team, push the capabilities of existing equipment (CMM, Talysurf, etc.), and design custom fixtures for complex components based on your practical understanding.
  • Support New Product Development, failure analysis, and process audits while mentoring your team.

About you:

Education:

  • Masters Degree, equivalent or higher, in a STEM subject such as Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics etc with a strong academic core
  • Languages: Fluent English essential, others desirable but not essential (German preferred)

Skills:

  • Possessing extensive experience in measurement and inspection roles, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Experienced with precision components and micron-level tolerances across various materials.
  • Driven by a deep understanding of practical measurement principles and a passion for finding solutions.
  • Eager to learn new technologies, expand the team's expertise, and build a flexible, responsive department.
  • A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and inspires others.
