Position: Senior Bridge Engineer (Design)
Location: Salford
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Contract, Inside IR35
Rate: £40 - £45 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer with a strong design background to join our team in Salford. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects, providing expert design and engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage bridge design projects from concept through to detailed design.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Conduct structural analysis and design of bridge components.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bridge Engineer with a focus on design.
Strong understanding of bridge design principles and standards.
Proficient in structural analysis software and design tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE or similar).
