GPS are recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer based in Huddersfield, you will be at the heart of ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be driving excellence and continuous improvement by identifying and addressing quality concerns through thorough analysis and proactive problem-solving. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing product quality, reducing risks, and ultimately, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and document areas of concern with product quality and processes.

Lead cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues and determine their root causes.

You will collaborate with departmental and technical teams to implement corrective actions and error-proofing measures.

You will validate all corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved effectively.

You will document all findings, actions, and validations, providing comprehensive reports and evidence-based information.

You will develop and lead a Risk Review team to assess and improve risk ratings through Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

You will investigate occurrences outside of FMEA, determine Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) with relevant teams, and validate these actions.

You will conduct internal system audits and supplier audits as required.

You will train departmental managers and supervisors to carry out product audits.

You will perform calibration activities as needed to maintain quality standards.

You will learn and become proficient in the Change Management process, including implementing new documents into the Quality Management System.

You will acquire and apply knowledge of the company Hose Supplier monitoring process to ensure consistent quality from our suppliers.

Your role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement and maintaining the high standards of quality that our customers expect.

Key Criteria Required

Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies.

Previous experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions in a manufacturing or production environment.

Leading cross-functional teams and driving collaborative problem-solving initiatives.

Proficient in documenting findings, actions, and validations with a high level of detail and clarity.

Experience of developing and implementing risk management processes, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Adept at conducting internal system audits and supplier audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

You have hands-on experience with calibration processes and ensuring equipment accuracy.

Salary up to 39K (Neg on experience)
