Role: Commercial Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Commercial Manager to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a highways framework in Warwick. The Commercial Manager will be reporting to the Commercial Director and taking responsibility for the financial management of projects including Highways Maintenance, Street lighting, asset management, CCTV and the refurbishment and upgrades of public spaces. As a Commercial Manager, you'll be undertaking a hands on approach to ensure the smooth delivery of projects alongside the profitable running of the overall framework and the development of the wider commercial team. Some of your main responsibilities will include:

• Taking responsibility for the financial management of projects from inception to tendering, negotiation and agreement of contracts through to project completion
• Supporting the commercial management team with the dispute resolution process
• Manage the preparation of monthly CVR's and other commercial reports
• Provide commercial and contractual support to colleagues and site teams
• Represent the financial and contractual interests of your employer to clients and stakeholders where required
• Act as a mentor to junior surveyors working on the contract

Commercial Managers considering this opportunity will need to have a proven track record of working for a main contractor on a highways maintenance or local authority maintenance contract. You'll need to be familiar with the NEC suite of contracts and have excellent communication skills and confident when managing a small team.
