There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our North West division, located in Liverpool, is looking to recruit a Labourer.

This is a very physically demanding role, involving lifting, stretching, bending and sometimes walking over uneven ground.

General fetch and carry duties constitute the role of this job.

The Role

Principal accountabilities of the role include:

Compound site accommodation

• Daily cleaning of toilets and welfare facilities.
• Sweeping footpaths and cleaning down compound storage areas.
• Taking receipt of all site material deliveries and ensuring they are stored away correctly into racks and containers (involves lifting).

General site tasks

• Sweeping out plots and ensuring they are tidy) carrying dustbins up and down stairs and emptying into skips out on site).
• Climbing up onto scaffolding to check that they are clean and free from debris.
• Cleaning around the bases of plots which involves raking and shovelling hardcore into skips (requires bending over/under scaffolding on uneven ground).
• Opening and locking of plot properties.
• Emptying bins around site, lifting them into tipping skips.
• Assisting trades when required to load materials into plots i.e. staircases.
• Erecting temporary fencing and walkways around site.
• Pre-plaster duties – such as inserting insulation, protecting windowsills, making watertight with silicon eg around windows/doors.
