Company Overview:

We have partnered with an exciting and innovative company seeking an experienced Consultant with expertise in Smart Buildings for their Energy Consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to join the senior consultancy team of a rapidly growing company aiming to increase its headcount by 50% this year.

Role Summary:

As an Energy Solutions Consultant, you will deliver technical energy advisory services across all sectors. You will be part of the Technical Consulting team, which focuses on developing practical energy reduction, transition, and decarbonisation programs using energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Reporting to the Principal Technical Consultant, your responsibilities will include leading HVAC & energy transition infrastructure audits, developing optimisation strategies, and preparing investment-grade business cases. You will play a key role in achieving the business's long-term impact, growth, and profitability vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical energy advisory services across various client sectors.
  • Lead HVAC & energy transition infrastructure audits and develop optimisation strategies.
  • Prepare investment-grade business cases.
  • Support and develop clients' energy transition strategies.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:

  • Qualifications: Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services qualifications (degree level or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least 7 years in energy/BMS audits or delivering control optimisation programs in various sectors.
  • Certifications: Low Carbon Consultant and/or ESOS Lead Assessor (desirable).
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with building energy models using software such as IES, DesignBuilder, TAS, etc.
  • Accreditations: Accredited to produce EPC up to Level 5, or working towards it.
  • Professional Membership: Membership of Professional Institute and continual CPD (desirable).
  • Technical Understanding: Electrical, Mechanical, and Utility Infrastructure.
  • Commercial Awareness: UK Government energy policy and incentives.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to develop accurate assessments and high-standard reports.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel throughout the UK regularly (valid UK driving license required).
  • IT Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (Power BI desirable).
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, numerical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Work Ethic: Proactive approach to work and problem-solving.
  • Professionalism: Ability to manage internal and external expectations professionally.
  • Team Player: Flexible, positive, and committed team member, promoting inclusivity.
  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.
