West Park Leisure Centres and Rutland Sports Park are part of the Erewash Contract, which is within a Derbyshire borough. The contract has over 700,000+ visitors per annum and the centres are very much a hub for the community.


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Centre Manager to take overall responsibility for the effective management and operation of West Park Leisure Centres and Rutland Sports Park, ensuring that the business is driven forwards to maximise sales opportunities whilst reducing the net operating costs of the facilities. A specific focus of the roles will be to ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction are delivered whilst enhancing safe and enjoyable usage of the facilities


The Person

It is essential that you possess excellent communication, customer and client liaison skills. Ideally you will have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management or educated to degree level or NVQ 5. You can demonstrate knowledge of the leisure industry and have commercial and financial acumen.
You will manage and develop your staff to meet customer and operational requirements creating a dynamic, responsive and customer focused team through your communication and management styles.
You will need to possess exceptional personable skills and form working relationships with Industry Organisations whilst adhering to our Philosophy of Driving Innovation, Nurturing People and Achieving Excellence. You will be highly organised, sales focused and results driven whilst also being an effective team leader and team player. You need to possess the ability to drive individuals to maximise their sales potential to ensure all financial goals and targets are met.
