A market leading organisation are looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing design team in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

This company design and manufacture a range of fire detection technologies that are sold all over the UK. These products are used within the consumer electronics industry and due to growth, they are looking to add an Electronics Design Engineer to become a key member of their development department.

Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer job:

  • Schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping and bench testing
  • Produce engineering reports and operating manuals
  • Support the hardware and software engineers as required
  • Assist the engineering team by validating software, giving inputs to equipment design, wiring test kits and debugging electronics
  • Conducting analyses on faulty products and reporting on findings  

Key skills / experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer job:

  • A good general understanding of electronics is essential
  • Previous experience of working within and supporting an R&D team
  • Experience working for a company with a manufacturing facility would be very beneficial 
  • A driving licence is required as the site in Cambridge is very difficult to reach by public transport
