We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our esteemed team as soon as possible. Our projects are known for their complexity and impact, particularly in the heavy civils sector, focusing on groundworks and pipework.
 
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a significant water treatment plant and infrastructure project in Sunderland. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical background and excellent client-facing skills. The Project Manager will ensure the smooth execution of the project, adhering to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the infrastructure works on heavy civils project from inception to completion.
- Oversee all phases of the project, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
 
Requirements:
- HNC or higher Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in heavy civils projects, particularly on water treatment, process centres, heavy reinforced concrete projects
- Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
