Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Brent

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our school community and contribute to our school operations.

Graduate Teaching Assistant | Job Summary

  • Hours: 33.5 per week
  • Times: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
  • Pay: Up to £100 per day | Paid via PAYE or Umbrella on a weekly basis
  • Contract: Long-term contract beginning September 2024 until the end of the academic year
  • Responsibilities:
    • Offering group support and 1:1 support as needed
    • Working closely with students with SEN and additional needs
    • Supporting the emotional and social development of students
    • Assisting with the planning and delivery of tailored intervention sessions

About You:

  • A recent graduate with a BA, BSc, or other qualification
  • Unrelenting in your pursuit of excellence in all aspects of your practice
  • Experienced in dealing with customers or the school community
  • Team-spirited and prepared to go above and beyond to get the job done
  • Have experience of supporting children with SEND
  • Demonstrate flexibility, the ability to work on your own initiative, and follow guidance from teachers
  • Demonstrate good behavior management strategies
  • Have a good standard of spoken and written English
  • Demonstrate specific approaches/interventions that you have used or may use
  • Know when to adapt teaching to make it simpler or harder
  • Provide feedback to children and staff
  • Engage in CPD to enhance your own skill set and develop strategies to support a wide range of needs
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and external professional agencies as needed
