Blue Arrow are looking for an experienced Business Support Administrator on a 3 month contract for one of our Public Sector Clients!

Length of assignment: 3 Months
Hours: full time post (35 hours, Monday to Friday)
Location: Haddington
Salary: £27,000

Duties:
* Be responsible for the maintenance and updating of both manual and computerised record systems; such record systems might typically include databases, filing systems, absence/attendance records where required, reference works; circulation lists, registers, payments, receipts, office diaries and indexes

* Minute taking during meetings, and delegation of actions afterwords.

* Undertake the coding, input, extraction and amending of information for databases and spreadsheets to support management information requirements

* Collect and provide statistical information in accordance with procedures

* Provide an enquiry/reception service for internal/external users.

* Answer queries on the relevant service areas and refer enquiries to an appropriate member of staff, as required.

* Where appropriate, deal with enquiries from, and provide information to, members of the public.

* Provide support by effectively utilising available office equipment eg telephones, fax machines, photocopiers, data imaging equipment, e-mail, document binding equipment etc.

* Undertake word processing which includes correspondence, newsletters, reports, returns and take/process minutes.

* Order equipment and resources and process invoices.

* Order equipment and resources using the PECOS (Online Procurement system).

* Book staff on training courses.

Ideally you must have experience within the following:

* Previous experience of working in an office environment
* Previous minute taking and/or reception experience.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Effective organisational and time management skills.
* Skilled user of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word and Excel.
* Skilled user of databases.
* Proficient keyboard skills.
* Numeracy and Literacy skills.
* Ability to prioritise own workload.
* Ability to work without close supervision, using own initiative.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
