Quality Auditor Job Description
Location: Waltham Cross
Reporting to: Head of Technical
Company: Our client is one of the leading fresh fruit & vegetable suppliers to the food service industry in the UK.
Role Overview: The Quality Auditor will assess food products against internal specifications, monitor and audit the QMS system, and support the team in finding solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Assess the quality, safety, and legality of products against specifications.
- Report and classify assessments using handheld devices.
- Communicate efficiently with team members.
- Audit QMS records and Goods-In records in manufacturing units.
- Maintain traceability of fish and sausage products.
- Assist in preparations for BRC and 2nd party audits.
- Conduct histamine testing.
- Support other technical/quality departmental functions as needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Exposure to fresh produce quality assessment.
- BRC and internal auditing experience.
- Knowledge of food quality attributes and control procedures.
- Awareness of food legislation, HACCP, and food labeling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and professional under pressure.
