We have an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Construction Project Manager to join our expanding team at a well-established Main Contractor Construction Company based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

The Role: As a Pre-Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our team, working closely with the Senior Contracts Management team and Estimating team. Your responsibilities will include producing Tender Programmes and Methodologies, advising on buildability, and ensuring the seamless integration of sales, estimating, and operations. You will take ownership of the bid process from start to finish, ensuring all submissions are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in producing Tender Programmes and Methodologies.
  • Advise on buildability, works sequencing, and site organization.
  • Champion the internal pre-construction process for seamless integration.
  • Own the operational element of the bid process and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and value enhancement.
  • Manage project risk profiles and ensure regular reviews.
  • Develop and review tender programmes and methodologies.
  • Engage with various departments for review and sign-off.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong communication skills to liaise with senior teams and multiple departments.
  • Experience with projects up to £10m, ideally in commercial, fit-out/refurb, or industrial sectors.
  • Excellent communication and strong construction background.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with high standards.
  • Ability to articulate methodologies clearly in writing.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and Teams. Experience with Causeway and COINS is an advantage.
