The Project
As a highly experienced Contracts Manager, you will be playing a key role within a Highways and Surfacing Framework, located in Nottingham, overseeing the contractual aspects of the project lifecycle. Managing the entire spectrum of contracts, from initial negotiations and drafting to final execution and administration, ensuring the smooth execution and successful delivery of this project.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
 Previous experience working on highways projects in a similar position with strong understanding of the framework
 Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with leading contractors
 A successful history of operating on road surfacing / resurfacing national highways developments to a high industry standard

The Role
* Job Title: Contracts Manager

* Reporting to: Operations Manager
Duties
* Managing paving crews
* Prepare, evaluate, negotiate and execute contracts
* Conduct and supervise Health and Safety audits on site
* Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines
* Report to Operations Manager, attending regular meetings
* Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution
* Effectively monitor project budgets and adhere to expenditure limits
* Identify contract-related risks and create strategies to mitigate them
* Engage in negotiations with clients, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
* Ensure that applicable laws, regulations, and company policies are enforced
* Communicate contractual changes to all stakeholders, administration and/or management
* Effectively oversee contract deliverables meet specified quality standards and specification
* Handle contract changes and evaluate their influence on project scope, schedule, and budget
* Establish and maintain strong positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns promptly
* Monitor contract spending, oversee budget tracking, and ensure projects stay within budgetary constraints
* Address and identify potential issues arising during contract execution, negotiating resolutions professionally
* Oversee all aspects of contracts, encompassing the review, negotiation, and finalization of contract terms and conditions
* Manage and oversee the coordination of tenders, cost estimation, and project development from preconstruction through to construction phases
* Uphold precise records of contracts, correspondence, and related documents, and regularly report to management on contract performance and compliance
* Monitor and assess contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, taking appropriate corrective measures to rectify any shortcomings identified
