Adecco are recruiting a dynamic and driven Buyer to work on site with our client Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton. If you have a passion for supply chain management and a keen eye for detail, this temporary position could be perfect for you.

As the Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries from suppliers, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and mitigating any potential line stops. With your proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving, you will thrive in this fast-paced environment. Your ability to negotiate and communicate effectively will be essential in achieving the goals set by both yourself and management.

Summary:

• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended
• Location: Wolverhampton WV10
• Pay Rate: £18 - £20.00 per hour
• Hours: 37 per week - Monday to Thursday 8- 4.45 Friday 8- 12 - hybrid after initial training

Responsibilities:

• Manage the order book for multiple suppliers, raise and amend purchase/scheduled orders.
• Resolve invoice queries and issue RFQs.
• Keep stakeholders updated on critical updates and delivery status.
• Collaborate with other functions outside of supply chain to resolve any issues.
• Review internal metrics to analyse and take necessary actions.
• Mitigate and minimise supply chain risks to prevent line stops.
• Support account and commodity managers on supplier strategy.
• Negotiate and manage costs to support commodity strategy and cost reduction targets.
• Resolve supplier payment and invoice issues in a timely manner.

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent supply chain management skills.
• Strong relationship management abilities.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Highly organised and efficient.
• Proficient in data analysis and multi-tasking.
• Strong communication skills.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Ideally experienced in Supply Chain or Manufacturing planning.
• Experience in the Aerospace industry desired, but not essential.
