Job Description

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and components, as well as strong analytical and mathematical skills. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates meet project requirements and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses to ensure cost-effective project planning.
• Prepare and submit detailed and itemized cost estimates for bids and proposals.
• Review and update estimates as project designs and specifications evolve.
• Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with estimates and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in [specific industry, if applicable].
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and cost estimating principles.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
