Job title: Welfare Support Officers x7

Location: Tidworth, Wiltshire

Pay rate: £15.58ph PAYE

Start date: ASAP

Contract: 6 Months with opportunity extend

One of our leading clients within their field are looking to recruit 7x Welfare Support Officers who will be responsible for supporting and meeting the needs of the individual vulnerable families. You will work alongside their client to provide housing and accommodation to a vulnerable group before being resettled into the community.

Duties:

• Provide presence on the ground assistance and problem solving.
• Manage safeguarding/welfare issues, you identify and report as appropriate through correct channels.
• Inform families of where they will be moving to and address any immediate questions or concerns, providing information about life in the UK and what to expect on their arrival to the settled accommodation.
• Undertake operational tasks within transitional accommodation sites as directed in line with strategic plans, objectives, and decision-making
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, local authorities, and service users
• You will be supportive, trustworthy, a good listener, approachable, and empathetic to others
• Ensure all records are updated and accurate for audit purposes

Requirements

• Hold a UK driving license with relevant car insurances
• Enhanced DBS Check (ideally on Updated service)
• Experience within welfare support for resettlement/ refugees (desirable)
• Experience of working with vulnerable and/or diverse client groups is essential
• Experience working with mental health and or challenging behaviour is essential
