Quantity Surveyor | Industrial Consultancy (Nuclear Industry) | Stone, Staffordshire & Customer Sites | Hybrid 3 days per week on-site

Yolk Recruitment are working with a leading industrial consultancy. They're searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join they're nuclear division.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery and financial outcomes. They will manage multiple projects, aligning with commercial strategies and adhering to operational, financial, and legislative standards. They need a candidate with experience managing projects in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear or Critical Infrastructure) & ideally experience with NEC contracts.

The role is based in Stone with a requirement to travel to customer sites when required.

This is what you will be doing:

• Handle contractual issues alongside the Project Manager and Commercial management team.
• Build positive relationships with subcontractors, manage accounts, and ensure proper agreements.
• Improve the commercial performance of project teams, participate in validations, and review financial metrics.
• Manage scope changes, ensure timely receipt of variation orders, and agree on costs.

The experience you will bring to the team:

• Skilled in managing contractual issues and subcontractor relationships.
• Proficient in preparing and submitting payment applications, analysing notices, and producing cost reconciliations.
• Experience in enhancing project performance and identifying contract risks and opportunities.
• Previous experience managing projects in a highly regulated industry i.e. Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear etc.
• Experience managing NEC contracts would be highly desirable.
